-The Paradox Of Our Times-

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings,but shorter tempers;
Wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints;
We spend more, but have less;
We buy more, but enjoy it less.

We have bigger houses and smaller families;
More convenience but less time;
We have more degrees, but less sense;
More knowledge, but less judgement;
More experts, but more problems;
More medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly;
Laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry too quickly;

Stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little,
Watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our pssessions, but reduced our values;
We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We learnt how to make a living, but not a life;

We added years to life, not life to years;
We've been all the way to the moon and back;
But have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbour.

We've conquered outer space, but not inner space;
We've done larger things, but not better things;
We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul.

We've split the atom but not our prejudice.

We write more, but learn less;
We plan more, but accomplish less.

We've learnt to rush, but not to wait;
We've higher incomes but lower morals.

We've more food, but less appeasement;

We build more computers to hold more information to produce more copies than ever, but have less communication.

We've become long on quantity but short on quality.

hmm..summer test over.
it's real horrible..
haha..
btw on thursday...instead of studying,
i went to the kitchen and played with the fishes..
haha...scale-ed about 10 of them
then took out their gills, intestines, stomach...
and even their kids..oh i mean their eggs..haha..
damn disgusting ok...but it's so fun!!
i was the fishmonger of the day..haha so proud of myself =)
so anyway..
monday - C maths paper..it suckss i dunno how to do a lot..
tuesday - chemistry..even worst..yesterday my class went to hand in assignment
then she was so pissed off when she came out "shit! what kind of rubbish answers did you all give me" then she also said something like we got only 15 to 20 percent for our paper?? haha...i almost fainted but haha might be me cause i didn't have time to do my section b.. did less than half of the paper...
wednesday - rest day
thursday - physics..my most dreaded subject..haha..but it wasn't that difficult..
friday - f. maths this paper is really FAIL maths lor...not further maths...i dunno how to half the paper and i another quarter do wrongly...

wah when the result come out ah....i sure die lor...
